HBG's Franklin aims for big league
Article Abstract:
Adrian Franklin is the new chief executive of Dutch-owned HBG Construction. The company, formed following parent HBG's acquisition of UK construction contractors Higgs & Hill, GA and Kyle Stewart, has an annual turnover of 570 million pounds sterling. Franklin's target is to position the group in the UK's top five contractors by turnover and to bid for bigger jobs. He expects GA and Kyle Stewart to make a profit in 1997, but Higgs & Hill, which lost 5 million pounds sterling in 1996, is set to take further losses in 1997.
