HSN Direct begins test for two new infomerical campaigns

HSN Direct International Ltd. of St. Petersburg, FL, the direct response television (DRTV) marketing firm affiliated with the Home Shopping Network, has initiated testings of two new infomercials in preparation for the official launch in late 1998. The first infomercial is for Handy Chef, a food processor that not only slices but can also perform other functions. HSN is currently re-editing the infomercial and is yet to determine its release date. The other infomerical features Cactus Jack's One-Shot Cleaner, a 100% biodegradable, nontoxic multipurpose cleaner. HSN intends to test the infomercial nationally and launch it if results are favorable.

Golf co. Protege Sport unveils first infomercial
Article Abstract:
Golf equipment maker Protege Sport of Melbourne, Australia, has launched its first infomercial for the Perfect Grip, a grip for golf clubs. The product fits over the existing grip of the golf club and is locked into place by the T-Trac locking system. Among the feature golfers in the infomercial created by Script to Screen Inc of Santa, CA, were Tiger Woods, Payne Stewart, Lee Jantzen and Justin Leoanard, with Mark O' Meara as host.
