Nebraska utility turns on deregulation, gives up customers to get ahead
Article Abstract:
KN Gas Services of Scottsbluff, NE, has launched a direct mailing campaign to get a better picture of its position in Nebraska and Wyoming before deregulation sets in. The utility sent mailings to its 100,000 customers in Nebraska and 10,500 in Wyoming that gave the customer a choice of leaving the utility for another one. Company spokesman Loren Finkelstein said utilities who endorse the deregulation process will be better off than those who try to delay the process.
