Digital River sets up London office to sell software online

Digital River of Minneapolis, MN, opened a branch in London, UK, that will help it market its services to European businesses. The outlet may help the firm to improve its international revenue stream which makes up 30% of total revenues. Digital River spokeswoman Karen Blondell indicated that Digital River maintains an information database with 100,000 software products made by various software publishers in the US. Digital River's official named Ian Yarlott of the London office intends to develop a local sales organization in Europe which will lure European clients. This same system would then support US firms in selling software online in Europe.

Amrion has acquired nutritional supplements direct marketing company Australian Naturalcare Products of Sydney, Australia, indicated Amrion spokesman Andy Dashiell. Amrion is known for making nutritional supplements that it sells through direct marketing. Its US parent Whole Foods Market Inc., which is a natural food chain, has proven to be the force behind Amrion's international growth. Dashiell stressed that the per capita consumption of nutritional supplements in Australia is the biggest in the world which makes the deal lucrative for Amrion.
