Blots on the landscape
Article Abstract:
Natural stone, such as marble, granite and limestone is not as hard-wearing as some builders believe. Staining may occur when used as external cladding due to natural weathering or incorrect construction and maintenance. Staining may be the result of the use of incorrect primer or sealant. Oil-based mastic should not be used. The correct cleaning agents should be applied so as not to ruin the stone. Remedial work is costly especially for marble and granite.
