How you can improve your dealings with lenders

Article Abstract:

Manufactured housing retailers can forge good relations with lenders. This entails good communication wherein both parties outline their positions to enable both to work profitably. Retailers should show the lenders that they operate efficiently through a credible track record which they can furnish the lenders during meetings. Retailers can also show initiative by arranging to meet with lenders to discuss business. They can also help lenders by explaining the the latter's financing schemes to clients. How retailers perceive fraud in consumer loans

Article Abstract:

Bergen Acceptance Corp has conducted a survey of manufactured home retailers to determine the extent of consumer loan proliferation in the industry. Fraud has been classified as either 'soft fraud' or 'hard fraud.' 'Soft fraud' involves gray areas of bad information such as borrower income and length of employment while 'hard fraud' pertains to those that are criminal in nature such as altered title and fictitious borrowers. Results of the survey reveal that retailers believe that over 25% of the loan transactions in the industry involved fraud.
