Gateway pulls call center from Dublin to Sweden
Article Abstract:
Gateway transferred its Scandinavian call center to Stockholm, Sweden, from Dublin, Ireland. The move is due to two factors, namely, the decision to change its means of distribution and the overheating Irish economy. Sweden has no regulations restricting outbound telemarketing and Gateway is planning to use all four Scandinavian languages, including Fnnish. The firm intends to serve the rest of Europe from the call center in Dublin.

German call centers look abroad - timidly
Article Abstract:
Germany's call center industry is leaning toward internationalization. Many call centers are looking abroad for new revenue rather than taking their business to the new market in an initial public offering. The trend is due to rising industry spending aimed at meeeting the demands of Internet convergence. One of the few call center companies that have gone public to force national growth is D+S Online AG.
