InfoInterActive debuts online call-waiting system

Bedford, Nova Scotia-based software developer InfoInterActive Inc has launched a new online telephone service called Internet Call Manager 2000 (ICM 2000). The company is marketing the new service to local telephone companies and Internet access providers across North America. The ICM 2000 system allows InfoInterActive clients to offer online customers different ways by which to redirect incoming telephone calls without disconnecting from the Internet. It also features a pop-up window that provides data about the incoming call, including name, phone number, city and state/province.

Star Media adds ISP offering to content service in Brazil

Star Media has introduced an Internet access service in Brazil in addition to its Internet portal and content service. The Internet access service should make it easier for Brazilian users to gain access to Star Media's Web portal site. The service will be available in three plans in a three- tiered pricing scheme, depending on the number of access hours desired.
