ListLaunch service seeks to speed up marketing of new lists
Article Abstract:
ListLaunch is a new service from Norfolk, VA-based Worldwide List Search that aims to notify list users, such as list brokers and other list buyers, about new lists on the market within hours of availability through e-mail. The new service, which debuted in July 1998 with a bulk e-mail to 640 list industry professionals, will e-mail the membership and convert the new data card onto Web page that is maintained for a year. The notification service will be free to members, however, list managers will be charged a still-to-be determined fee, likely $75 to $100 per list, for each launch.

SRDS makes data quality improvements
Article Abstract:
SRDS, the Des Plaines, IL-based list directory, has boosted its list count by 30% to more than 24,000 lists in its Direct Marketing List Source Directory and online Direct Net service. The company has also introduced a new online service, Listing Access Service, which allows its clients to verify all their listings online. The service does not allow the client to change data online, but allows clients to have a more timely way to check the accuracy and recency of published lists. The company has also expanded its staff to ensure correspondence with list owners and managers.
