Britspace is making volumetric two-storey semi-detached houses which can be erected on site within two weeks using six to eight workers. It is predicted the cost of the houses will not be more than houses made by traditional methods. The initiative is being tested against the standards set by Egan. Tenants' extra
Article Abstract:
There has been very strong interest from potential clients in the 18 homes which Quality Street is offering for rent in Stirling, Scotland. It has recently stated that rents achieved for a two-bedroom apartment are 20% higher than average, but admits that even these rent levels cannot necessarily ensure an acceptable yield. The company is looking to refine the rental product, seeking design and marketing inspiration from the hotel industry.
