Megayacht boom isn't dying down
Article Abstract:
ShowBoats International Magazine's annual survey of custom megayacht activity shows that the market for luxury yachts is getting even hotter. The trade periodical's Order Book report reveals that new purchases for 2001 have risen by 101 units tp 428 boats from 327 in 2000. The report adds that the only megayacht sector suffering from a decline is the 90- to 99-foot category. Italy also remains as the world's biggest builder of megayachts, with Azimut/Benetti the world's no 1 megayacht builder.
