Article Abstract:
The Western Morning News building in Plymouth, England, which was completed in Jan 1993 at a cost of 15 million pounds sterling, has attracted considerable controversy because of its transparent ship-shaped design. However, it has been found to be a generally comfortable building to work in, with efficient air conditioning and high quality staff amenities. Many staff enjoy working in such an architecturally unique building, but it has been found difficult to maintain.

Lifschutz Davidson was responsible for designing the restaurant which Harvey Nichols is set to open shortly in a penthouse extension to the newly converted Oxo tower in London, England. The restaurant, situated on the ninth floor, offers dramatic views over a large part of central London. The Oxo tower itself, which was constructed as a Post Office power station in 1908, is gradually being converted into a mixed-use development.
