Online physicians groups form alliance
Article Abstract:
Physicians' Online Inc. of Tarrytown, NY, the largest Internet community of doctors in the US, has formed an alliance with Berlin-based Health Online Service multimedica (HOS). The alliance is expected to lead to a sharing of ideas between physicians on both sides of the Atlantic and new marketing opportunities. The main point of the partnership is anticipated to come from Physicians' Online's discussion groups. In the discussion, physicians post querries related to medical topics or patient cases and receive responses from online colleagues. Physicians' Online, meanwhile, is considering future opportunities with potential advertisers on the expanded Web site.
