The city of Toronto, Ontario, is emerging as a favorite call center location for many of the world's multinational firms. The presence of three universities and five colleges ensures that 60% of the 1.34 million workforce has some form of college education. Over 42% of the city's population of 2.4 million knows a language other than English. An unemployment rate of 7.1% assures a prospective call center operator of a sizable workpool.

iCraveTV draws ire of NFL, broadcasters

National Football League Enterprises and the Canadian Assn of Broadcasters have sent cease and desist letters to iCraveTV.com Inc, an Internet television firm in Toronto, Canada. The company retransmits television broadcasts at its www.icravetv.com site. The NFL says that iCrave's video streaming is illegal in the US and that retransmissions could be violating Canadian laws.
