Sandwell starts five years of refurb
Article Abstract:
Refurbishment work will be undertaken on 7,000 homes with a negative value of 30 million pounds sterling following moves by the UK government's Estates Challenge Renewal Fund to grant 40.5 million pounds sterling to Sandwell MBC, the seventh-largest housing authority in the UK. The homes will be owned by three new local housing concerns, but a parent company will be responsible for services. It will first be necessary to obtain the consent of tenants.
