Article Abstract:
British Construction industry blacklists have been in operation since the economic recession in the 1980's despite the fact that noone accepts responsibility for them and their validity is questionable. The Department of the Environment has instructed the Building Research Establishment to embark on a 52 million pounds sterling investigation into the creation and usage of blacklists, and aims to erradicate them. Many people feel that they cause unnecessary harm to businesses within the industry.

Article Abstract:
It is becoming increasingly widely recognized that twin-skinned climate facades have the potential to offer both high levels of natural light and control over heat gain and glare. These facades work in harmony with the local climate, and have proved to be effective in preventing overheating in summer. Recent examples of the use of this technology include the design by architectural firm Terry Farrell and Partners for the new European headquarters building for Samsung in London, England.
