The Association of Consulting Engineers is introducing new appointment documents for its consulting engineers. It hopes the new forms will provide balanced agreements. However, standard forms may be discarded or amended, as acceptable conditions may be affected by clients' commercial strengths. Consultants may experience resistance to the new forms from some clients.
