KF Group, the Swedish retail giant, has acquired Bokus.com, Scandinavia's biggest online book retailer. KF hopes the acquisition will bolster its position in Scandinavia and improve its profits, which only reached $23.8 million in 1998 despite revenues of $3.8 billion. Bokus.com, which began in 1997, reported sales of $12 million in 1998 from its operations in Sweden, Finland and Denmark.
