The 365 day sprint
Article Abstract:
Several major British building projects, during 1999, were faced with labour problems, with the workforces on the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London, England and the Jubilee Line extension, London, projects going on strike. A report featuring the problem of racism in the construction industry was published in May 1999, by the Construction Industry Training Board. Immigrant workers were found to be earning only 2.50 pounds sterling per hour whilst working on building projects in Apr 1999.
