The value of search goes well beyond E-commerce
Article Abstract:
Cost-per-click (CPC) advertising represents a major shift from seller to buyer responsibility as can be seen by the rising cost of some search terms, at times even touching $100 per click. Advertisers have to include the call center and in-store sales to compute the CPCEs effectiveness, and better tracking can multiply the sales volume proving that search is an effective tool influencing consumers where to spend their money offline.
