Title-tattle on arbitration: confusion reigns between adjudication and arbitration. But now there is a new Arbitration Act to clear up the mess. Two new publications may help clarify the issues
Article Abstract:
A new arbitration scheme for construction disputes is expected to come into force on 01 January 1997. This should not be confused with the new adjudication scheme for construction disputes, which is a 28-day dispute resolution process, with the adjudicator's decision binding until decided by litigation or in arbitration. New publications provide information on the new Arbitration Act 1996.
