The board is trying to prevent Baden Hellard from using the letters FRIBA to indicate that he is a retired member of the Royal Institute of British Architects, without registering with the ARB, a statutory body charged with upholding the integrity of the profession.

Top UK architects report profits revival: Foster leads the way with bonanza from Far East operations

Top architectural practices in Britain are bein awarded more work and are increasing their profitability. Sir Norman Foster & Partners has increased profit and reported higher turnover, with its Far East operations contributing 9.7 million pounds sterling. Richard Rogers Architects however saw overseas turnover fall 16%, although the home market improved.
