Electronic mail can be a valuable tool for fostering customer loyalty. Regularly sending e-mail messages is one way to announce new products, enhancements or promotions. Service and support issues can also be sent through e-mail, resulting in less number of costly inbound telephone calls. Marketers, however, are advised to be prudent in sending e-mail messages as they can be an irritant to the customer.
