FRANCE: OVER-PACKAGING FOR FLAVOURED WATER
Article Abstract:
The choice of cardboard rather than plastic for over-packaging for flavoured water is first of all due to the fact that this material offers a wider surface for advertising a new product. Once the image of the product is thoroughly inculcated, the manufacturer can switch to the simpler plastic over-packaging, which is less expensive. Cardboard also serves to anchor the product upmarket, and to make handling safer, when flavoured water comes in glass bottles, such as Vichy Fraise and Perrier Citron.
