Microheterotrophy in the zooxanthellate coral Stylophora pistillata: effects of light and ciliate density
Article Abstract:
Effects of light and ciliate density on the feeding of Stylophora pistillata, a zooxanthellate coral, on microheterotrophs, including oligotrichous ciliates and bacteria, have been studied. Topics include cultures and labeling of bacteria and ciliates, feeding experiments, and the effect of light.

Carbon flux by suspended and sinking particles around the barrier reef of Palau, western Pacific
Article Abstract:
The article focuses on the study of suspended and sinking particles to understand the flux of carbon between reefs and the ocean. The measurements of the particle concentration in incoming and outgoing waters at the reef edge are presented.
