Is the Greenland ice sheet getting thicker?
Article Abstract:
A debate within the scientific community was spurred by the conflicting results of two studies on climate change. The satellite radar altimetry measurement results showed a thickening of the Greenland ice sheets from 1978-1979. On the other hand, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change announced that global warming will melt ice glaciers in the 21st century. Such results have prompted the use of more advanced research models to resolve the divergent research findings.
