A positive theory of economic fairness

Article Abstract:

The study proposes a positive theory of distributive justice that is founded on the Accountability Principle, which postulates that fair allocation should differ in proportion to relevant variables that can be influenced. It also proposed that a general ethical theory on economic fairness can be developed by extending the model to insufficiently divisible and multiple variables, such as multiple states and time periods, and expanding the framework to incorporate additional principles, such as altruism or needs, efficiency and accountability.
