Found: city, Mexico area

Article Abstract:

Archaeologist Alan G. Robinson found the remains of an ancient city in Mexico during a expedition in 1998. He was shown the site, which is known as Lacanja, by a member of the Lacandon Indian community. The site includes a large pyramid which had already been attacked by looters. Robinson found the site when he was still an archaeology student at the University of East Anglia. He realised it was important to have his findings verified. Robinson plans to start making a proper archaeological investigation of the site which covers around 600 acres. He also hopes to date the site.

Master of 'the moment.' (Photographer and Artist Henri Carter-Bresson)

Article Abstract:

Photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson's work was influenced by his early training as an artist. He gave up photography, in the late 1960s, after working as a photo-journalist, during the 1940s-1960s. Cartier-Bresson has concentrated on working as an artist and has had several exhibitions since his first, in 1975. The Royal College of Art, London, England, is planning to show some of his paintings and drawings, in Mar 1998. Cartier-Bresson does not like to talk about his photographic work which has become very influential. He is very reluctant to have his own photograph taken.
