Article Abstract:

It is becoming increasingly common for members of computer science faculties in the US to become involved in electronic commerce ventures. Many have moved into high-technology employment, and this has left every computing department with an average of two and a half vacant positions. Computer scientists are often attracted to being able to put their ideas into practice, rather than to becoming wealthy.

Low seepage syndrome

Article Abstract:

On-going research into exposure to radiation from the first nuclear weapons plant in the Soviet Union, the Mayak Production Association, has been carried out jointly between the US and the Russian Federation. The research has revealed that chronic radiation sickness was suspected as early as 1951 in the villages along the Techa river. An overview of the joint research is provided.
