Stern's comments cost company $1.7 million

Infinity Broadcasting Co., which owns a number of radio stations that air Howard Stern's controversial radio program, has agreed to pay the FCC $1.7 million dollars as a settlement of fines levied against the broadcaster. Infinity has admitted no wrongdoing and plans to pursue court action to determine that the incidents did not constitute indecency. A Texas judge has also issued a warrant for Stern's arrest following comments made about deceased Hispanic pop star Selena.

It's always tax time

April 15 is a time dreaded by most taxpayers, as it is during this time of year that they are to hand over about 130 days of their workpay to the government as an obligation. A 'withholding tax' law has been drafted for those who renege on their tax payments.
