Age revolution

Article Abstract:

The population of the EC will comprise over 130 million people aged over 50 by the beginning of the next century. There is concern that designers are not coming to terms with this and still designing products for the younger age group. Although many of these people will be physically fit some will be unable to cope without help from designers. There is a call for designers to recognise this fact and projects in the EC, US and UK are researching better design.
