Masters of the hunt

Article Abstract:

Employment consultancy Saxton Bampfylde Hever has recruited 29 vice-chancellors, 15 higher education college principals and 37 senior university officials. Saxton Bampfylde has found new heads for such crisis-hit universities as Huddersfield, Portsmouth and Bournemouth for a fee of around 35,000 pounds sterling. Director of Saxton Bampfylde's education practice Gavin Mackenzie explains that drawing up a list of possible candidates for a position involves two full-time researchers spending their time on the telephone.
