Teaching infrastructure cash is below Hefce's own target

The Higher Education Funding Council for England (Hefce) faces a situation where the funds allotted by it for teaching and learning infrastructure for 2008-2011 falls pounds sterling 400 million below allocations proposed in a report for Hefce itself.
