Article Abstract:

Voice coach Mary Hammond has been participating in a weekend workshop at Napier University, Edinburgh, where students are rehearsing for the musical 'The Beast in the Tower'. Hammond is professor of music theatre at the Royal Schools of Music in London, and is more used to coaching West End casts, for example the casts of Cats, Les Miserables, and Miss Saigon. 'The Beast in the Tower' was composed by Stephen Langston of the University's music department.

Little relief for London researchers

Article Abstract:

Since the Tomlinson report on health care in London there has been uncertainty as to whether the government will accept its proposals. This is affecting recruitment of academic staff to London's teaching hospitals, some of which may close. There is also work being done on reducing duplication of health services, which would affect London University's medical research programmes.
