AT&T, Time-Warner team up in cable field

Article Abstract:

Telecommunicatioins giant AT and T Corp and cable television service provider Time Warner Inc will form a joint venture (JV) that will provide telephone and communication service that uses cable networks. Under the agreement, the JV will offer regional calling services under the AT and T brand within areas where Time Warner already operates. AT and T will contribute 77.5% of the capital for the JV, while Time-Warner will provide the remaining 22.5%.

Cisco, Dacom plan Internet, ATM developments

Article Abstract:

South Korea-based Dacom Corp and San Jose, CA-based Cisco Systems Inc will collaborate in the development of Internet Protocol and Virtual Private Network and asynchronous transfer mode products. Dacom engineers will be involved in beta trials. Cisco will provide consulting services to help Dacom design and build an advanced performance Internet protocol multiple- service network infrastructure.
