Celular Mobile Radio (CMR) will eventually become a consumer product on a regional basis. The CMR industry has sold some 10,000 units to date, mostly through direct sales forces. First customers have been mostly entrepreneurs and innovators. Price levels for CMR in Chicago have already suffered some erosion. Manufacturers are concerned about delays in the establishment of area networks.
