Average staffing levels at nuclear power plants have increased from 150 to over 1,000 since the 1979 Three Mile Island disaster. Research indicates that staffing levels are high due to inefficient use of labor at large plants. Staff reductions of as much as 30% are possible.

Oglethorpe Power Corp is the auditor of metering data for the state of Georgia's integrated transmission system. To improve the reliability of metering data, Oglethorpe is installing a remote revenue metering system to provide metering data to the member utilities.
