Combination wind-water power systems are being eyed as effective energy source alternatives. Improvements in wind power technology performance and cost have enhanced the environmental, financial and technical elements of such combined systems.

Wind power in the US has been revived with the entry of the Enron Wind Power Corp. in the industry. The firm, which has promised to deliver rates as low as 3.5 cents per kilowatt hour, has been dismissed by critics as being too unrealistic.
