Chemical management gears up for the next millennium

Article Abstract:

Chemical management in chip manufacture is a concept that requires a deeper relationship between the chemical companies and the chip makers. The idea, which originated in Japan and was implemented in the US in the late 1980s, is for chemical companies to take charge of the chemicals they supply from delivery to use to disposition. Chemical management is expected to continue further as chemical companies go beyond mergers and alliances into actual chip making research.
