Marching toward SOC

Article Abstract:

The global semiconductor industry is preparing for the imminent arrival of system-on-a-chip technology. Designers are catching up with the ever- advancing semiconductor processing technology by building system-on-a-chip by reusing blocks of previous designs or integrating third-party Silicon Intellectual Properties onto the same chip. Similarly, customers who want lighter, compact and lower-power mobile appliances demand for SOC when talking of semiconductor design.
