Article Abstract:

Consumer electronics manufacturers are launching new products at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) that will offer access to navigation information while driving a car. The trend is in response to demand for the transformation of on-the-run data from CD-based delivery to real-time delivery through a networked interface. Some of the exhibitors at CES are Alpine, Pioneer, Blaupunkt, Eclipse and Clarion.

New lines of household appliances were introduced by manufacturers at the 1999 International Builders Shows in Dallas, TX. Among the new products were Viking's UL-approved outdoor refrigerator, Marvel's outdoor series refrigerators, GE Appliance's new lightwave technology-based oven, Jenn-Air's model CCE3451 quick-to-cook oven, Peerless-Premier's dual-fuel, continuous clean oven with sealed burners, and KitchenAid's 42-inch, six-burner cooktop.

Tiny cars can sport big power

Makers of automobile audio equipment products have launched their latest product lines. Alpine is offering its DV Driver series of full-range speakers with the patented magnet structure, the MRD-F752 amplifier and the SBS-24AF add-on amplifier subwoofer package with built-in OEM interface harnesses. Other new products include Pioneer's PRS-X200 small- chassis amplifier, Sony Corp's Xplod lineup of "F" series compact two-way speakers and DEI's Direct Pro woofers.
