PS29XX photocouplers
Article Abstract:
NEC Corp has introduced the PS29XX series of photocouplers that have the lead lines on the same plane as the molded flat-bottom surface. They feature infrared light-emitting diodes on the input side and phototransistors on the output side for insulating the 3V or 5V control circuits from 100W power lines. The photocouplers measure 5.2x8x2.1 mm in size and accommodate extra-dense mounting in mobile phones, notebook computers and other products.

HM62V16256C/8C 4M-bit SRAM series
Article Abstract:
Hitachi Ltd has released 4M-bit SRAMs that consume only 25mA of power at 70ns operations despite their fast access times. The computer memory devices, which include the HM62V16256C and the HM62V16258C, retails forprices ranging from 1,740 yen to 1,980 yen. Hitachi's 4M-bit SRAMs, which are available in 6.5mm by 6.5mm packages, are also capable of storing data for long period while depending on battery-powered operations.

TC58FVT461, TC58FVB461 64M-bit NOR flash memory by Toshiba
Article Abstract:
Toshiba Corp has introduced the TC58FVT461 and TC58FVB461 64M-bit NOR flash memory. The debuting memroy chips, which are presented in 48-pin TSOP Type 1 packages, can perform read operations during program and erase operations. In addition, Toshiba's flash memory, which retails for $60, has the read while write function and supports improved functionality for digital products.
