Panasonic, Kodak set sights on optical media

Article Abstract:

Eastman Kodak Co and Panasonic Disc Services Corp have created a new venture company, Matsushita Media Manufacturing LLC of America, to act as a specialty contract manufacturer to them. The new venture is expected to create new applications for recordable CDs and DVDs and to develop other types of optical media that result from the technology. The partners also expect solid prospects for their venture amidst the strong performance of the recordable CD market.

Panasonic doubles safety efforts with upgraded monitoring camera

Article Abstract:

Matsushita Communication Industrial Company Ltd has developed an upgraded monitoring camera called Super Dynamic II. The product provides a minimum intensity of illumination of 0.06 lux for recording objects, a 220x digital zoom lens and a 64x dynamic range. Matsushita intends to equip a dome-shaped preset combination camera and an affordable color camera that it is introducing in 2000 with the Super Dynamic II.

NEC's TI-1250A high definition camera

Article Abstract:

NEC Corp's TI-1250A high-definition, high-speed camera has made its market debut. The product is equipped with a monochrome CCD with 1.45 million pixels that doubles its frame rate to 16 frames per second compared to its predecessor. In addition, the TI-1250A has a frame shutter function and a flange back adjustment mechanism that eliminates the need for a close-up shooting ring.
