Article Abstract:

Samsung Electronics Company Ltd, the South Korea-based consumer electronics manufacturer, will launch several 'convenient lifestyle' digital products in 2000. These products include the Yepp digital music players, digital still cameras, SDC-007 and SDC-80, and digital photo album, SyncMaster 80 feature a built-in 32MB SmartMedia card reader. Samsung is also set to launch its multifunction printer, SCX-1000s and DVR-2000 DVD-RAM video recorder.

Technology hot spot Intel, AMD map different courses to improve chips

Article Abstract:

Intel Corp has launched its new Pentium III processors, intially introduced at 450- and 500-MHz. The new processor, which is designed with floating point technology, reflects the shift from hard-drive based applications to Internet-based applications. Meanwhile, AMD introduced its K6-III, which boosts overall computing speeds by beefing up the cache and redesigning cache memory architecture.
