Catalog of Simulation Software
Article Abstract:
To answer frequent questions about simulation software, a catalog is presented. Microcomputer software ranges in price from fifty to five thousand dollars and includes special simulation languages, network packages and various types of simulation packages for Apple and other microcomputers. Packages for minicomputers and mainframes run on a wide variety of models and can support continuous and discrete simulation, network simulation, and engineering applications.

Applying the object-oriented paradigm to discrete event simulations using the C++ language
Article Abstract:
This paper demonstrates the appropriateness of an object-oriented programming language, C++, for developing discrete event simulations. An introduction to the concept of object-oriented programming and the C++ language is followed by an example simulation of a single-server queuing system. The example shows the general advantages of the C++ language for simulations. (Reprinted by permission of the publisher.)
