Check high-power components with VNAs
Article Abstract:
Vector network analyzers, or VNAs, have applications in the characterization of high-power subsystems and parts. The utilization of oversized loads and power meters are usually implied by the generation of high-power measurements. Versatile VNAs, however, offer more benefits to operators, enabling them to safeguard the sensitive front-end circuits of analyzers and to know the appropriate high-level-signal channelling methods. VNAs have proven to be useful in high-power system, parts and equipment characterization aside from its usual application in generating measurements for small signals.

Design suite speeds circuit, EM simulations
Article Abstract:
Applied Wave Research Inc's Microwave Office software provides a comprehensive design suit for engineers. It enables multiple simulations within a single computer platform or network. The Microwave Office software includes an object-driven circuit simulator called VoltaireXL and EMSight, which combines a full-wave spectral-domain simulator and analyzes circuits with an unlimited number of layers and ports.
