Break old boundaries with concurrent engineering
Article Abstract:
The management of manufacturing firms using concurrent engineering to improve or maintain their products' competitiveness in the market should foster communication between all teams and inculcate the value of the product over the value of each participating team. While concurrent engineering is a useful tool in improving both product and manufacturing processes, its effective implementation may be lost through interdepartmental competition.
