Hard race for King's Cross

The 1.5 billion pounds sterling redevelopment of King's Cross Central in London is in the final stages of the developer selection stage, with just two contenders left in the process. Property firm Argent is being led by developer Roger Madelin who has up 240 million pounds sterling worth of funds available for the projects, while the Lend Lease consortium is led by Peter Walicknowski, with an estimated 4.3 billion pounds sterling worth of available funding. The development site will cover an area of twenty hectares.
