A part of history
Article Abstract:
George Babcock and Associates of Armonk, NY, has been contracted in 1997 to engage in a performance-based design of a fire-safety system for the National Museum of American History's restoration and laboratory area where the restoration of the Star-Spangled Banner is being conducted. The company designed a clean-agent suppression system, built around the concept of early detection and automatic suppression. The system's primary method of extinguishment is oxygen displacement with inert agents.
