Placing trust in greenways. (Urban Parks Programme)

Article Abstract:

The Urban Parks Programme in Britain has received 50 million pounds sterling from the Heirtage Lottery Fund. The Landscape Institute feels that the money should be used to begin a new era in the planning, design and management of open space. Money should be spent according to the wishes of park users and provision should be made to systematically monitor the costs and benefits of park provision.
